We offer a variety of classes to suit your interest and level of experience, from Beginner’s and Gentle Flow classes, to Deep Stretching, Yin Yoga and Meditation, to vigorous Vinyasa Flow, as well as some Chinese Martial Arts, Prenatal Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, and Mindfulness Meditation classes.

 

@to Strength Training

This strength training class is a fusion of eastern and western fitness regimens designed to change the body from the inside out. Originally developed as a physical conditioning program for the advanced martial arts, the program builds strength, coordination, stamina and flexibility through a combination of isometric and aerobic body movements to tone and condition the body. It requires very little space, no weights or equipment, and it’s fun.  Once you learn the principles and practice you can take it with you anywhere and practice your entire life.

Ashtanga Yoga

In our Ashtanga classes we offer the traditional half-primary series, including sun salutations, standing and seated poses. Through this flow we will connect breath, movement, and gaze.

Beginners Vinyasa

This Beginners Vinyasa class allows beginners to explore yoga at their own pace while experiencing a comfortable and dynamic Vinyasa flow. In this class, the focus on alignment empowers students to develop a deeper understanding of each posture. Poses are held to develop strength and heat in the body. Various breath techniques are used to enrich the practice and calm the mind. This class gives students the confidence to take more advanced classes and perhaps even develop a personal practice. While geared toward beginners, this class is also great for students who want to refine their alignment and create stability in their yoga practice.

Gentle Vinyasa

This class presents the fundamentals of Vinyasa yoga with particular attention on the alignment in each posture and the practice of uniting breath and movement throughout the series of poses. Brand new beginners as well as more experienced yoga practitioners will benefit from this thoughtful approach to Vinyasa. With plenty of individual attention and hands-on assists, you will feel both supported and challenged as this class prepares you to deepen your experience of yoga while preventing the risk of injury in more vigorous, faster-paced Vinyasa classes. All levels of fitness are welcome.  No prior yoga experience is required.

Kundalini Yoga is a safe, dynamic, powerful technology appropriate for all that is designed to trigger an experience of the unchanging Self. In each class, we use movement, sound current, breath and meditation to relax and heal the mind and body, allowing the spirit to flow freely.

Mommy & Me

Our Mommy & Me classes for moms and their babies ages 6 weeks to crawling helps new mothers regain strength and energy, bond with their baby, rest and rejuvenate in a nurturing community of new moms. Class focuses on alleviating some of the common physical discomforts of new motherhood, sharing techniques to help soothe babies, and building skills to calm the mind and help moms to be more present with their child.

Prenatal Yoga

Enhance your well-being during the childbearing year with Prenatal Yoga. This calm and peaceful practice can help you relieve common discomforts experienced during pregnancy; melt away stress as you relax your body and calm your mind; increase energy, reduce fatigue, and enhance sleep;strengthen your body to prepare for the work of labor and caring for your baby; learn techniques to empower yourself for a satisfying birth experience; and bond with your growing baby and create community with other women.

Strength & Flexibility

This class is not a vigorous, fast-moving class but rather a peacefully yet intense journey that combines some deep breath work (pranayama) with mixed level poses to gradually open up the joints, the muscles and the mind. Poses are held for longer periods to deepen the experience of being in the present moment. All levels of yoga experience are welcome.

Vinyasa Flow

Our Vinyasa classes offer vigorous Vinyasa flow sequences combined with some balance poses, backbends, and deeper release stretches. The Vinyasa classes are open to all levels of yoga experience, and modifications are welcome.  Those who are new to the class are encouraged to rest or adjust the postures and the pace as necessary.
